It’s such an honour to bring you this inspirational shoot from Children of the Tribe. “Inspired by the harmonious connection of tribal children with the outdoor world around them. This winter collection grasps colour and natural earthy tones” – Emma, Children of the Tribe
As a mother I’m always looking for inspiring and natural clothing for my children. I love seeing designers like this creating divine, unique pieces for our special little babes.
Enjoy this beautiful journey into the land of childhood magic and let your imagination run wild.
“The creative adult is the child who has survived” – Ursula K. Le Guin
I came across this quote this morning and instantly fell in love. The timing was of course perfect. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the social tenets of how one is supposed to look, dress and act at a certain age. I’m coming up to 38 this year and I know I don’t really look my age physically, but I think it’s more than that. I don’t act my age. More to the point, I don’t act in a way that adheres to the general social expectations of a 38 year old woman. I write my own life story, and in mine there is no age limit on how one can act, look, dress, be. I’m unconventional, imaginative, passionate, creative, naive, sensitive, vulnerable, open hearted and I will always believe in magic. I love spontaneity and I live in the present. And best of all, I’m at my happiest when I’m in my little vortex creating what I love with all my heart and soul. All the wonderful characteristics of a child.
When I look at my children they remind me of this ability we have to tap into our creative selves. To open the doorway to joy in an instant. Bless these sweet angels for reminding us of the true beauty of life.
