A beautiful sunday morning at the beach with the family in one of my favourite bikini styles and so much fresh bright silver! Summer is just around the corner here in Australia and I’m dreaming about all things white, bright and light. Many a summer sunday sesh to be had sipping margaritas by sunset :)
Stay tuned for a little holiday edit I’m working on later this week, which is basically my shopping list (I wish!) for this summer ;)
Feeling so honoured and elated right now as I just heard I was nominated for the Free People Me Blog LOVE Awards in the Trendsetter category. “The FP Me user who most inspires us with her styling and creative photography“. I’m overflowing with gratitude for the nomination right now, regardless of the actual outcome of the awards. Each day I get to create and inspire and do what I love most. I’m living my dream, and I really hope that you guys can feel how grateful I am to you all, for all your love and support.
If you so feel inclined I’d absolutely love you to take a moment and vote here for me :) Head to this page or click on the image below, and then scroll down to FP Me Trendsetter category to vote :)
I’ve put together a collection of some of my favourite FP Me outfits I’ve styled and a few new ones too ;) Hope you love :)
“See the world as if for the first time; see it through the eyes of a child, and you will suddenly find that you are free.” Deepak Chopra
This beach adventure was filled with rainbow orbs and incredible light. I felt so much like a child again. You know that abundantly joyful feeling of being ever present, simply shifting from moment to moment, following your excitement and zest for life. I want to bottle it up and have it with me everywhere I go. It’s freedom, it’s peace, it’s happiness…. Like Eleanora Duse said “If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive…”
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…It’s about learning to dance in the rain.” Vivian Greene
Having one of those stormy weeks and realising that no matter what storms pass through my life, I will embrace them, lovingly. Because they are me. And this is my life. And to really allow yourself to feel and validate the multitude of stormy emotions that can arise will bring you even faster through the eye of the storm and to the rainbow on the other side. Each of life’s beautiful experiences is a wonderful lesson, that brings us closer to peace. We can choose to embrace and learn the lessons or resist, ignore and repeat them. I find that meeting the pain (which is simply a painful thought) with a loving intention really helps me find the peace and gratitude once again.
Sending you all love and peace for those stormy days.
“Magic exists. Who can doubt it, when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars? Anyone who has loved has been touched by magic. It is such a simple and such an extraordinary part of the lives we live.” Nora Roberts
Whatever you believe in, that is what makes you the person you are, and all that you see in the world and those around you. Our beliefs govern our thoughts and our actions, the words that come from our tongues, the emotions from our hearts. Every moment we have an opportunity to question what we believe about ourselves and to reinvent our life. We have the chance to be anything at all. And this great gift is what can turn your days into absolute joy.
In the quiet gap where stillness lies, and there is only the present moment, allow yourself to question those beliefs that bring only stress and suffering. This is the space where the serious magic happens. Where we can choose to let go. Where we can dream and conjure, and choose what we want to believe in. I choose peace, love, light and the path of harmony each and every time. I choose to see magic in everything around me, and so I do. It only takes a moment of being in that quiet gap to allow the insight to arise, and let go of the ego that tries so hard to protect us. I say let’s be vulnerable and experience love and joy the way that children do (and we once did). And see the magic in everything, and most of all, see the magic that we are.
